First, may we assume that you do not have a print farm? If not, how many printers do you have, and how many are equipped with an AMS?
I wholeheartedly agree with @krellboy and @MalcTheOracle. While I would never discourage anyone from pursuing an ambitious project, the worst mistake is overextending your skills to the point of near-certain failure—considering the time and filament expense alone.
To draw an analogy, the scale of this project is like attempting to land on Mars when you haven’t even achieved Earth’s orbit yet. In short, start with a less ambitious project using PETG to refine your skills. Then, progress to something more complex that can be completed in less than a day of linear printing or within your filament budget.
Now, let’s analyze the improbable statistics that would raise an eyebrow even in a medium-sized print farm.
Total cumulative plate swaps: 36
Total Cumulative “linear” print time: ~11 days.
Total “projected” cost of filament: $138 That alone makes my eyes water.
I have one Printer and one AMS, thats why I prepared the third 3mf project because of different colors (I don’t want to change the colors for different plates in the same 3mf all the time)
I don’t really care about the 11 days printing time. I wont need 11 days but maybe 2 months. I am not in a hurry.
