I think we can all agree these black panels look so, so very good. Now my petition here is for Bambu to sell these panels on their website without me having to contact an agent! I would love to switch my grey panels out to make my H2D a blackout printer, anybody here agree?

Once H2D Pro is released, these panel will be available online through the 3rd party resellers that are authorized H2D Pro dealers just like any other spare part.

I was reading the FAQ and it said for replacement or spare parts to contact an agent? Are you saying I can buy spare parts and replacement parts from said agent or reseller without having actually bought the H2D pro? Similar to how they sell the laser version side panels in store.

Yes you can buy X1E spare parts online, I assume it will be the same for H2D Pro parts, here are some example:

Just take the original panels off and bring them to a wrapper company, or spray paint them yourself with a good primer base.
You can get it in any color you want.
I like the black color also, but it’s definitely not worth the hassle to change it.
There is even a disadvantage to the black color, because it will emit more heat, therefore raising power consumption and room temperature when you are printing with a heated chamber.

Where would you take something like this to get wrapped?
Plus a large plastic container, some vinegar and some hot water. Also works on power tools, if you ever wanted all blacked out milwaukee tools. side note

There are companies here in the Netherlands that wrap cars, kitchens, etc. Just find one in your neighborhood.

Jesus, model them and print couple covers. Remove them and spend like 10$ on ali and buy enough wrap for 10 H2Ds, you can even make them holographic, carbon fiber yada yada, or even give them to your daughter to paint with flowers (10/10 would do if i had a daughter)
How are you in this space/hobby/adventure call it whatever and your first thought and plea is to “spend more money to buy it instead of DIYing it” ?

I would prefer Yellow to go along with my Laser cabinet and work bench and tool box, but that’s just me.

My guess is that the potential forthcoming single nozzle variant of the H2D will also have the dark side panels. This is how the X to P series happened. This could also be a potential source of dark panels.

For my X1E, I do like its smoke silver color with matte sheen.
I have to agree with you, however, that the H2D looks way more sleek in all black. For me, it is because the black color causes less contrast with the side windows. Also, black is a slimming color that makes the printer look less bulky.
I held off on getting the H2D because I knew it had to be only a matter of time before they released a Pro version with the enterprise security, which I need for my work.
I’m going to wait and see what owners say about H2D Pro performance before committing to one.
On the printer: I want to see someone print 800 hours of PPA-CF on it and see how well it holds up to running at or close to max temps for a long duration. Many X1E owners experienced what I did — a printer that was flawless at printing anything less than PAHT-CF, but which would have inexplicable power shut-downs after stepping up to PAHT-CF and PPA-CF for about a month and a half at 10 hours per day operation. I eventually figured out what the problem was by my own analysis after the same power failures kept happening like clockwork even after multiple, warranty parts replacements that involved taking apart the entire printer every time. It was definitely heat related.
On the black color: how well the black paint or coating sticks to the base material is important. If it doesn’t bond well and pulls away, leaving patches of base material exposed and visible, the owner satisfaction is going to go to zero really fast. Same if it rubs away and becomes overly shiny in a short time.
That said, if a black exterior helps the overall printer enclosure build and retain chamber temperature, then I’m all for it. Not having to wait forever for the much larger print chamber to heat to 65 deg C and the capability to maintain a consistent thermal signature throughout the chamber would never be a bad thing.
