I have haven’t been paying too much attention to these forums and may have missed it, but are they now allowing models to be uploaded without pictures of physical prints?
I see a high percent of uploads that only seem to have rendered pictures. for their description. (especially Pokémon models for some reason).

Someone added a profile to one of my models ~ a month ago. I asked them to print it add pictures and it hasn’t happened yet. Now my reporting finger is itching…

Report them, there’s an option ‘no physical image’

Makerworld is due for a change, the amount of literal rubbish thats being posted is growing, spamming repeats and literally overwhelming any chance of moderation. Not uploading physical print pics is being watered down even further to the extent they just claim “public domain” and post whatever they want. I’ve noticed whole “love to 3d print” profiles that wouldn’t know where the on button for a printer was but have pages of everyone else’s models.

I wish they’d allow some users to be moderators. I’d personally really enjoy removing contest entries that don’t qualify. Or removing models without a print. It would be my favorite past time
Just yesterday I was looking at a mini figure on MW. Every single image was a picture of the actual Lego figure, not the print, including serial numbers and molding seam lines. .

I’m soothed by the sweet whining of points farmers uploading hundreds of hueforges and 2D flat cartoon chraracters to MW only to get banned and getting slapped down by the entire subreddit when they go and complain about it: https://www.reddit.com/r/BambuLab/s/aEtFs7mOe8
(Can’t link to the main topic because the guy deleted the original post but all the replies remain lol)
During the mouse contest it was like reporting was my job, lol, then they went and changed the rules to “remixes are okay” and I stopped caring a little, I still reported the egregious ones and straight up troll models including several obscene ones.
The biology model contest is all nonsense now. I largely blame MW though. Nobody’s going to read past the “Biological Models” title, but the description specifically mentions it is about bringing “the microscopic world to life”.
I think about 10 models of all uploaded so far would actually qualify.
But ultimately, I’m not sure it matters. MW holds these contests as a way to boost number of models available on the site and they are serving their purpose.
