having some quality issues with trying a Dummy 13 print, and i printed the frame in ABS no issues but when i tried printing the armor the quality takes a crap. i have made other prints before and after and everything else looks way cleaner than this. i used the base print profile, slowed the entire print to silent mode. the filament has been dried, and currently my ams is reporting a 9% humidity in there, granted there’s 4 spools.
Without more info (nozzle size/type, plate, printer) than you printed ABS prior - I assume with the same nozzle - you probably have residual ABS melted in the nozzle that didn’t clear out when changing filament to the matte. The nozzle doesn’t get hot enough to clean out all the ABS and you have little pockets of abs causing problems.
heat the nozzle to like 240-260 and just flush it out while manually pushing through some white pla. Or whatever will contrast the abs color you used. Once the pla is all white your clog is clear.
Otherwise make sure you are printing at 220, run a flow calibration etc…
fair enough, I have a H2S im using all the factory items that it came with the PEI plate, .4 nozzle.
i did do a few cold pulls to clear out whats there. and i have been printing the pla at 220. i look into the flow calibration and report back
Sure but at what temperature did you do the cold pull? If you’re pulling at PLA temps it doesn’t solve the issue. Pump it up to 275, push a filament through to eject everything and see if you have any issues.
Do you hear any weird clicks during printing?
no clicks at all, and i ran the cold pull maintenance the is loaded on the H2S 4 times until it came out clean
Manually set nozzle temp to 275, grab a piece of PLA, remove PTFE tube, then push 4 inches through the extruder. Down arrow on extruder controls
