PLA silk filament issue

Using Bambu Lab P1S
Filament: PLA Silk in pink color
Filament dryer used for 12 hours

If you look closely at the photo, you can see vertical lines running across the surface (indicated by the red arrows) does anyone know why these appear? The wing on the other side broke exactly where these lines formed.
Also, if you look carefully, there are small irregular dents scattered across the surface (indicated by the black circles) what causes those?
I’ve already done a calibration and have tried adjusting the settings, but it doesn’t seem to improve easily.
What on earth is causing this? I would be so grateful if anyone could help me figure this out. :folded_hands:​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Have you inspected the slicing results to see if those marks match the travel patterns?

The lines appear to be positioned as if they occurred after moving away from the geometry of the circular indents in the design.

I checked as you suggested, and the lines do appear to be caused by the travel moves from the cubic insets. Does this mean I have to remove the cubic holes from the design entirely?

I may be imagining this when looking at the pic, but it does appear like you also have diagonal features? The kind that usually indicates flow issues?

I’d try a new printer calibration (maybe after recommended maintenance and belt tightening), re-calibrating the filament, lowering max flow by 10% and maybe playing around with “avoid crossing walls” set to say 100mm.

It means the problem is a combination of the geometry and the material.

Silk is notorious for highlighting things like travel speed differences.

You should look to limit the speed on those layers to see what effect it may have.

Directions of travel are also highlighted by silk.
