Detailed description of the problem
I have been getting more and more adhesion issues, despite cleaning the build plate thoroughly with soap, then with alcohol, and then adding glue-stick. The issue seems specific to certain areas, although I have not tested the entire plate.

P1S, default PEI Texture Plate that comes with it

As you can see in the picture, the ring adheres OK in that spot, but the rectangle does not adhere, and the contact patch on the underside is only on the right 3rd of the object.
I tried with a higher bed and nozzle temp for the first layer (60/225) then back to normal temps for the other layers (55/220).
I tried a second time with the filament settings included in BambuStudio for Polylite PLA, and got the following result:
This leads me to believe that its not my filament settings, but maybe something else?
Update 1
I just read in another similar thread that someone mentioned the model might not be flush to the surface, and lo and behold, after checking the first layer in the slicer that appears to be the case, even though I did not get any warnings from the slicer. I will re-align the model and try again and report back.
I don’t believe that’s the problem, as other prints stick beautifully, and I cleaned it thoroughly already several times. Thanks for the suggestion, and it’s my first step in troubleshooting adhesion issues.
Do you have a link to the model, or is it something you designed?
Watch it closely and see if you can see what’s going on when it fails. I can’t tell from your picture, but is that end straight or angled? I had a small part the other day that failed over and over on all my printers. Turned out that the side was starting to warp up wards because the angle was a bit too steep and the print head was hitting it, knocking it loose. I changed the angle a couple degrees and it was flawless after that.
In general, these are the things I try when I have to troubleshoot a model.
Clean bed with Dawn dish soap and hot water. This fixes most issues.
Try a different build plate. Sometimes a certain filament just is being finicky.
Slice the model and go down layer by layer and see if you see any potential issues like gaps or weird geometry. Also make sure it’s making full contact with the bed.
If you have one, try printing the model on a different printer.
Change the infill pattern. I despise grid with a passion on large flat prints.
If you have an aux fan, turn it off. It can cool the print unevenly and cause part of it to warp.
Swap filament, either a different brand or type. Like if it fails with PLA, try PETG.
Move model to a different part of the build plate, like a bit closer to the edge.
This is what I did (shown in Update 1), and exactly that was the issue. For some reason my model had rotated by a degree in Fusion 360, which caused it to not be printed flat. I didn’t notice or intend for that rotation, so I was confused.
Thanks for providing your troubleshooting checklist! I will use that as a starting point to get one going for myself.
I have had that problem a few times and I have subsequently made it a habit to click the auto-orientation button. Every now as then I’ll see a model make a tiny move.
Do you have proof that your plate is clean? Have you printed a first-layer test over the area where the model is peeling away?
The first layer test reveals all!!!
Contaminants on a build plate, especially textured build plates, cannot be easily seen. But a first layer test will show these immediately. Here is an example, in this case, the plate is smooth which shows fingerprints more readily.
