PLEASE ADD: Plate Detection as part of filament synchronization

This is crazy. A print job goes 5-10 minutes for all the warm up, calibration, purging, etc and THEN it tells you that the plate doesn’t match the file you just sent… AND IT DOESN’T EVEN TELL YOU WHAT THE PLATE IS!!! It’s not like I want to drive 45 minutes each way to the office just to see what plate got left in the printer. It’s only a 2-hour job. But it’s also one I NEED at 8am. Now I’m sitting here going through the list of plates top down, slicing, printing and coming back in 10 minutes hoping that it hasn’t errored out AGAIN and I need to pick a new plate and re-slice.

I guess just telling us the plate type the way you tell us the filament colors is too much to ask for. If you can detect the plate enough to not run the program can you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE detect the plate in the start of the run and report back the plate type when it errors out?

(It’s late. I’m frustrated. It’s a big stressful day tomorrow and simple features that should have been part of the OS FROM DAY 1 shouldn’t be what I’m fighting with. Please fix this.)

Ikraus, I’ll DEFINITELY give that a look in the morning. Thank you. I couldn’t find any way to do that in any help page. You may have just made my future life much easier.
