It would be great if there was an easier way for users to change the rating they have given to a profile.
I’ve had quite a few cases lately where a user gives a 1 or 2 star rating, I help them troubleshoot, and after the problem is solved they don’t know where to go to change the rating. It is in fact rather buried on the web client. I’m not even sure it exists on the handy app…
As an aside, I don’t think reporting and removing the rating for ‘misinformation’ would be useful to anyone, and seems rather unfair to the original poster, and the thread might be useful to other users, so I don’t think it’s a viable option in this case.
Anyhow. Having an easy/up-front place where they can amend their original rating would be amazing. If it would be available somewhere around the comment section, it would be even better.
Seconded! I’ve only had one user give me a low rating on a model (one star) but it was because of their own issue. I helped him fix it and he was able to change the rating, but making it easy (no idea at the time it was difficult to change) would be a really good thing.
So many bad ratings result from issues the person printing is having (moisture being huge) and are no fault of the designer. Real photos posted by most designers show models are printable.
We’re already hostage to users to some extent. When we help them - essentially taking on a customer service kind of role - it should be trivial for them to fix low ratings that are frequently undeserved.
It is easier if they use Bambu Handy as it keeps things together.
I have had a few that have changed ratings, one today.
The ones I hate is those who know the outcome is perfect and they are told by the printer there was an issue. They can’t correctly answer it first time or change it later.
It is annoying to get “perfect print, love it” with a photo showing the success and a 3 rating which implies an issue. You ask why, they tell you the system refuses to let them rate more than 3.
Agreed, I also wish people would have some common sense when rating a model. If a file has hundreds or thousands of successful prints and no one is having issues with it, then you come along with a dirty greasy build plate and un-calibrated filament and it fails, maybe it’s your fault and the the print file. It’s about as bad as the people on amazon rating a product with 1 star because FedEx dropped the package off on the side of the street and somebody stole it.
By the way, there seems to be an issue with the latest firmware. There’s a growing thread in the p1s forum, so we might get more of these in the next few days, even on very successful models.
I can’t find it and want to change a rating. The designer added updates per a comment he made. I printed the redesign, and would now like to up the rating but i have no idea where. I tried the website and still cant find how. How do i do this?
