Thanks for your reply, yes I use a printed container behind my printer. At the first time I had the issue with the blocked funnel, the container was completely filled so the poop stowed back in the chute.
But on my other prints, the printed container wasn´t even half full so nothing stowed back and the poop could exit the printer freely.
The flapper and the other moving parts on the chute are moving completely free.
I don´t get it. It seems like that my printer always has problems on multicolor Prints during purging. I often see that there are some kind of blobs like in my screenshot stuck in the funnel.
The Blob gets stuck but falls into the funnel after some time. But I really don´t know why that happens? Looks like putting a think coat of PTFE Spray onto the chute did not work for me…
On my first few Multicolor Prints I did not had that issue. I also replaced the small nozzle wiper because the old one was worn out a bit (but really just a little bit, i think most people would not replace it).
But I saw after a single color print that a small string of filament was stuck on the old one…
Quick edit: I googled a bit and I need to reduce the Purge Settings a bit in Bambu Slicer. Does anyone has suggestions for it that I have something to start with?
I just played a bit with the Multiplier at the bottom, from 0,7 down I have a lot of bleeding in my prints when it comes to a change from black to red for example.
So most of the time i set the Multiplier to 0,7 and hit re-calculate, that is all I did.
Did you manually inserted all those numbers or are there some recommendations?
I’ve been having this problem since day 1 when I use AMS on long, multicolor prints. In researching this I’ve seen people line the chute with foil tape, with PTFE tape, add in the flap extender and additional nozzle wipers. I’m printing the extender and wiper as I type this but wondering if anyone has thought to try the Slice Engineering plastic repellent paint on the inside walls of the poop chute?!
I’ve been using it on my nozzle for a couple weeks and it’s made a big difference in regard to any stray filament sticking to the nozzle. I’m going to try it before I add the flap extension and wiper to see if there’s any difference - I’ll let y’all know.
Thanks for your reply, I saw that video a few weeks ago. I use PTFE Spray for my Road Bikes that no dust or dirt sticks on them. I used this spray on my poop chute but this does not solve the problem for me. Maybe I get some PTFE Tape from Amazon and give that a try
But I wanted to try some settings on the weekend to reduce the amount of poop. Currently I produce a lot of it during multicolor print, i need to reduce that a bit more.
Update in case anyone’s wondering: slice engineering plastic repellent paint HAS stopped issues of poop getting stuck to the flap or the inside chute wall.
Several long, multicolor prints later and i haven’t had another single instance of clogged chute or poop being flung onto the build plate.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your reply, i will give that a try too.
In the meantime i contacted Bambulab support, they said I should try to dry my Filament a bit more because even when the PLA is not completely dry, the PLA could stick to the nozzle or the wiper and this can also cause this problem.
