I’m still waiting for my H2D to be delivered but I already started slicing stuff, that doesn’t fit my current printer.
One of my parts to be printed has a 350x300 base but I don’t manage to get it sliced. I understand that each extruder can reach 325x320 but with both nozzles 350x300 can be used so I thought i could have the same filament loaded to both extruders and therefore utilize the full width of the base but I don’t manage to get it sliced that way.
Is it even possible?

Yes, that’s true, but there’s one important issue that hasn’t been addressed the connection between the left and right sides, meaning the spot where the perimeters touch but don’t actually merge. If I were printing something that needs to have certain mechanical properties, I’d definitely try to avoid this. In this respect, H2S simply has an advantage.
This could actually be solved quite nicely in software in the slicer by introducing perimeter overlap similar to how bricks are laid when building a wall. Each higher layer would have the joint in a different position, so cracks or weak spots wouldn’t line up in the same place.

Since I’m coming from another brand printer (and I’ll keep it for now) there will be some stuff I’ll be missing (slightly).
Do you happen to know if there’s a feature request site for H2D firmware and/or Bambu Studio slicer?
I have no idea, but I wouldn’t get my hopes up. From the very beginning, they promised to add H2D support dual nozzles with different sizes and so far, nothing has really happened, at least as far as I’ve seen. So, what I suggested is probably just a utopia. And besides, they’re currently focused on the H2C and on programming those interchangeable print heads anyway.

Did they really promise that for the H2D?
The only reference so far that I have seen from Bambu Labs is Stephan from CNC Kitchen, asking this, and tge response of Dr. Tao was that this is a complex issue and that they are working on it. No promises made here.
But possibly you have another source that I am not aware of.
Did you look into the “Beam Interlocking” option under the advanced settings?
Even this question was for Avarax - I understood from the manual that “Beam Interlocking” is used, when you add two object and you connect them.
I was adding one object and simply used the color painter to be able to print it full bed size.

That is the case. They have that on their radar, but no slicer at the moment has it fully implemented.
I know there is some beta functionality around in Prusa Slicer, but it requires a lot of tweaking.
It would be nice to see some experimental stuff already in Bambu Studio, so we can experiment with it.
A lot of people underestimate the complexity of 2 different size nozzles.
Thinks like independent layer heights, Transitions from walls to top/bottom surfaces, etc. is not simply solved in all use cases.
The more multi nozzle/tool head printers hit the market, the more this will get focus.
For me this is clearly no show stopper but a “very nice to have” especially since I mainly print functional parts it would be great if I can stick with 0.4 mm as std and 0.2 mm for markings/texts for example.
I guess we’ll have to wait until someone else figures it out in their slicer and have Bambu get “inspired” from there.
But that’s a whole different topic anyway.
Back to topic:
I tried Beam Interlocking and it’s a good solution for this issue.
It’s buggy at some layers and I haven’t figured out why only some layers are affected, especially considering in the area where the two filaments touch the object is simply square but besides these issues it’s helpful.
(buggy area in the screenshot where some parts simply won’t interlock anything at all but I guess this all can be fixed by tuning the settings and the filament transition)
Personally I would set the angle to 45 degrees relative to the split plane.
The default 22.5 is possibly chosen to have a proper interlock at most common situations.
this is essentially my question. i cant post yet which is so much fun.
but if you had the same filament in the AMS’s you should be able to assoc them in the slicer to allow the full 350… but yoiu cant
one way would be to “paint the model” with the “other blue” from the right side and itll slice.
