I don’t see the pic but I can imagine what you are saying pretty easily.
A pot would generally have the base on the plate and walls going up around, makes it an easy print. But if you add legs to lift the base off the ground then you will have bridges and overhangs to deal with. If the legs do not lift the base off the ground you are fine. I’m guessing you want some lift:
So it leaves you with a few options, you mentioned printing them as separate parts and attaching them after, this is a good option, you don’t waste time or filament on support.
Conversely you could use support for the base that is now lifted off the plate. If you simply turn on support in the support tab the slicer will likely generate a support base that will allow the print to come out properly.
