Potential P2S?

Hey there,

i am planning to buy a P1S AMS 2 Pro Combo. My only concern is, wether Bambu could release a P2S printer soon, with all the upgrades the H2D had (quick swap nozzle, smooth display etc). What do you guys think? Is a P1S still a great buy or should I wait for a next gen printer?
And what feature do you think it will have?

My crystal ball is currently under repair …
But since not even the H2D is really on the market yet, I very much doubt that a second printer will be launched at the same time

And it’s like always in life: If you need it now, then buy it. If you can wait - just wait for all eternity  There will always be something new.

Buy when you need it.

And even if the successor comes onto the market at some point, it won’t make your device instantly unusable and bad

Could take another year to wait. I would buy a P1S now, price is ok and the AMS will obviously also work on other machines (in Q3 as well with A1 series) in future. If you miss something now you have anyway to wait.

It’s coming

I think this will be just a touchscreen upgrade to replace the stock P1S screen.

Look at the official webpage and look at the link
Does not seem so… I would have liked a touchscreen too!

I think that it’s actually a P1S in that picture. It’s written down on the screen itself.

I think the P2S will be a P1S but with the new H2S Toolhead, touchscreen and some other quality of life improvements.

I hope that they will bring compatibility with Vortec in the future. Something like a H2S toolhead but that the one hotend is interchangeable.

Soon we will know more, excited!

I have that combo, and worried about the same!

Since I only own a single P1S, my perspective is narrow but I am also thinking about another printer and for me the decision is going to be based on added capabilities. But capabilities I would use consistently

That gets me to an H2S.

I’m personally of the opinion that either the H2S or H2D will cannibalize sales of the other. Which one eats into sales of the other is open to debate. I lean to the H2S hurts H2D sales.

I’m clueless as to the benefits of the 40w laser over the 10w (right now).
These laser cut, no-glue assembly models do not appeal to me in the slightest.
If the 40W laser is needed for thicker material that for sure would be wasted money.
For me, since I do very little multi-color printing, dual nozzle as a time saver would be almost non-existent. It is not a feature I need.

I’m am happy with the precision of my P1S and do not need any better. If I was doing engineering prototypes or doing super detailed miniatures it would be different,
Well, I wrote this before I saw P2S and a touchscreen is probably a self-preservation upgrade so they can quit having to field tech support calls from people connecting the PandaTouch to their P1S.

Maybe the picture of the P1S with image artifacts is a cryptic hint at improved networking capabilities.

I’m going with a P1S with proper screen and H2D size. But no way it gets the dual head.

What do yhall think there going to add and also if the p1s can be upgraded to it personally I do not think it will be big cus the h2d and 99% will not have the laser attachment or vortex system

A question for the main thread where it has been extensively discussed.

the next gen p2s released. I reccomend you buy it since its 150 ca bucks more than the p1s and is basicly the x1c with more features and cheaper
