Currently running a print with the 0.4mm High Flow nozzle. It’s like a pressure test, I would be updating my results here.
Let me explain it a bit further. Bambu PLA Wood contains real wood powder to create its wood finish and scent. It’s nice but it would also potentially cause clogs. What’s more challenging is that the high flow nozzle used a CHT like design, causing a high likelihood of clog due to the wood powder.
Interestingly, Bambu didn’t really stop you from using CF/GF filaments, and no warnings about wood/shiney filaments either. So I decided to have a go at it and yolol
The print is currently going and its estimated to be completed 20 hours later, we shall see how the Bambu flavour of CHT performs.
Update:
12 hours past, so far so good! Was surprised how smooth it went.

Sometimes I do a screenshot, as a quick and easy way to downgrade a photo for posting online. Definitely not high res. But it’s usually plenty good enough.
This is SirayaTech PPA-CF. I did start with the Bambu PPS-CF profile but changed a couple things.
Temp is at 300°c
I changed the cooling overhang threshold to 25% and left the overhang fan speed alone at 40%. Default is 0% & 40%, so it forces 40% cooling on all outer walls no matter what. With it at 25% instead of 0%, it only cools the outer wall layers that overhang 25% or more from the previous layer line.
I want to say I changed the min layer time too, but I can’t remember if I did or not. I’d have to check
Heck yea it did! lol. I decided to reprint the top portion with this filament too since the eSun pa-cf warped a little bit.
I printed the bushings/isolators yesterday with eSun tpu 95A. I have a roll of eSun tpe 83a in the dryer right now so hopefully I can get that to work. I’d rather use the 83a than the 95a on the isolators.
Hey since I have you here, I don’t think you have both styles of the mounting bushings/isolators uploaded. The one the screw goes through. I checked the stl’s and the 3mf and there’s only 1 of the types of bushings. I’m not sure which one I need so I was going to print both, but there’s only the 1.
Ah you are right, I just updated it, check again in a few minutes.
There is so much isolation performance provided by the inertial mass of the printed parts that I don’t think you’d hear the fan over the other printer noises but… then again, you made an air manifold from PPA-CF haha.
Hahaha I’m an overachiever sometimes . I actually scoured amazon for like an hour last night looking to see if I could find a silicone damper/grommet that would fit. I gave up after a little bit. Then started thinking about making a mold out of a negative of your model so I could pour a silicone one. I think I’ll just settle with the 95a if I can’t get the 83a to print right lol.
I might even make a foam gasket to place between the fan and the printed part to help dampen vibrations. I wonder if the plotter knives would be able to handle cutting some thin foam. That would be a cool little project.
Haha. I wouldn’t do the foam as it could contribute to vibrating the side panel and have it radiate sound, less is more in vibration isolation! We should talk on the right thread though, we’re hijacking this (sorry)
