Print & Cut - allow for printing while printer is busy / not connected

I think the process for printing on paper in the “print & cut” process should be more separated.

Right now the stage between printing it on an inkjet/laser printer on paper and then cutting it on the H2S/H2D is tight closely together - like two steps that have to be done together.

This is pretty limiting for people who want to print on paper in advance, and cut much later when the H2S/H2D is done with it’s other print jobs. Also for people who might want to print their sticker paper in a shop, at work or at a friends printer it makes it very difficult.

Suggestions:

  1. Lets us do the print on paper / save as pdf even when the Bambu H2S / H2D is not connected or busy printing something else. Right now I can’t even start the printing process on the inkjet printer while the H2S is doing a 3d print job.

  2. Make printing and cutting more like a 2 step process so it’s easy to print it one day, and cut it on another from the same lac file.

Agreed.

I used this feature for the 1st time last week and it was a right faff trying to understand how it worked or why the area is limited on the paper too.

Ended up making a load of small stickers and once I understood the process (not well explained by the wiki and its image) it worked really well.

Would be great to run the inkjet etc printing side of the process whilst the printer is busy doing other tasks.

Couldn’t get the additional cut or cut-though to work on the stickers though which is annoying. Wanted them cut out from the sheet and with a small border to make it easier to peal, no matter what I did it wasn’t working and tried on 5 different sheets. Tried cut through selection on its own, manually set the cut-through pressure to 150 from 0 - none of which worked.

Seemed to go a bit wibble when using array mode but didn’t try a standalone one.
