Print doesnt stick to plate and fails

Hi all,

i havent been able to have 1 successful print in the last 5 or 6 attempts. I am not sure if it has to do it that but I think its since the new firmware update.

the first layer of brim and model don’t stick well and it makes a mess

i have a x1c carbon
texture plate
bambo pla matte

I tried washing the plate after every attempt
drying the filament
increasing the bedplate temp
increasing the speed of first layer
decreasing the speed of first layer
increasing the temperature of first layer

nothing seems to work.

anyone else has encountered this problem in the last weeks?

thanks in advance

Mhmm. The calibration and purge lines look OK but that first wall is already a mess.

Could it be that you have a partial clog and/or residue in the extruder? In that case, it would make sense to do a number of cold pulls, clean the extruder and, while you are at it, check your PTFE’s for proper seating and erosion.

Not sure that’s it of course. For advice on settings, we’d need to see what they are.

  1. Have you tried disabling all auto calibration and doing a simple first layer test with default filament profile?

  2. Have you cleaned the nozzle and lidar? You could be getting false sensor readings on the nozzle temp and/or the lidar calibration.

  3. Have you tried another filament?

  4. Have you tried another build plate or even the other side? Does it produce the same results?

i havent tried any of this. except the other filament with the same results.

will try this and get back to you.

thanks for all your help!!!

i actually took the nozzle out and found out that there was a lot of dirt/ old filament all around it.

some of it has burned a bit and even if I warm the nozzle that brown stuff doesn’t seem to get out easily. any suggestions of how to remove/what kind of chemicals can I use near the wires ?

thanks in advance

first trys with the bambulab PEI plate was horrible for me , i now use Vision Miner NANO POLYMER ADHESIVE , never had a problems again with adhesion.
