Hey guys I need some help. I set a print at night, it woke me up making the cutting noise over and over. I got up to look and it was shooting filament up into the print nozzle. It was a giant blob of of filament. So I managed to get a lot of it off but not all. Now there is this piece hanging and I don’t know what it is or where it is supposed to be. Can anyone tell me what this is??
Thats the flow blocker arm.
You have a spare that came with your printer.
Thank you very much. Any idea how to get all this filament that is melted to it off?
Seems like you will need heat and lots of patience.
Here are instructions from Bambu on what to do. Hotend Clumping/Blob Cleaning Instructions for the X2D | Bambu Lab Wiki
Here is a video of a guy who had to clean up after a similar issue:
Interesting two topics for this issue today. Any chance that you have used Orca?
Or what do you think is the reason for this blob?
That is exactly what mind did, except I think I messed up. I didn’t know that when I pulled the head out it wouldn’t get hot anymore so I have to try to get the nozzle back in so it will heat again![]()
No idea what caused it, never used orca
no you dont : keep it out of the printer, and use a heat gun to soften the blob and remove it
use some plyers to hold it, and try to keep the wiring and fan out of the hot air flow
