Print order for multi objects, To avoid stringing

I want a function to determine the order of my print with many parts.
So that I can create a printing path to avoid intersections between items, to avoid stringing, for example when printing with TPU.

For example, I often print some protective caps in TPU. To avoid stringing, I’ve had to place them in a circle so that the software creates a path that doesn’t cross over the others. This limits me to only being able to make 22 items at a time. However, if I could choose the print path myself, I could make over 50 items at once.

Take a look at the pictures. Picture #1, you can see that there is no crossing between prints. Picture #2, where I have filled the Bed, but here it crosses between the items.


Have you investigated assemblies. I just tried a test where I had 25 cubes

  • split into 3 assemblies

    As per attached photo - with assembly 1 being the outer 16,
    assembly 2 being the middle 8, and
    Assembly 3 being just the centre 1.

When I look at how it slices it - it starts on the outer assembly looping around - as per this photo

Only problem is that when it starts the 2nd assembly it jump across from A2 to D4 - as per this photo

But it then does fairly neatly loop around the middle assembly before doing the middle square
