Ever since I got my new P1P I have had all kinds of issues with print quality. Doesn’t matter what I use for filament. I used Bambu Basic PLA and generic. I’ve tried adjusting the temps (bed and filament), I’ve tried various line width sizes, infills, and supports. Has anyone seen these issues and could guide me where to look next?
That’s severe under-extrusion. Start checking from nozzle up.
- unclogging tool which came with printer - check if nothing got stuck in nozzle
- you got spare nozzle which came with printer - swap it
- check if there is nothing stuck in extruder
Return your line widths back to default
Run a flow RATE calibration, this will likely want you to dial it down
Ensure your cooling fan is working properly and is configured to be blasting those overhangs (filament → cooling)
Thank you for your reply. Much appreciated. I’ve had issues with this printer from day 1. I’ve had the printer for about a month and it has not worked right from the very first day. I was at least hoping that it would run as well as my P1S but not even close.
I will try another nozzle and see if that helps. I checked and don’t have any clogs.
BTW, that image was using adaptive layers. It came out 100 times worse than when i didn’t try that but not good.
Printed the same model on my P1S and there is very little post processing I will need to do.

I’ve run the flow rate calibration a number of times. Started doing that after my first prints when I got the printer because it has never printed all that great. Super disappointed.
Also, thanks for the suggestion on the cooling fan. I’ll play around with that and see what i get.
Thank you so much for your suggestions. Hopefully I can get to the bottom of this because as of now I am starting to wish I never bought this one.
I only mention the line width thing because “line width significantly greater than aperture” has a very negative effect on aggressive overhangs, and we’re talkin about overhangs here.
Rabbithole: There are more factors, but you will have an ever decreasing angle that becomes an event horizon that the machine just cannot physically produce anymore. Using exemplar numbers, but imagine a 0.4 nozzle and declaring a 0.8 line width. The nozzle is placed dead center of that 0.8 line, and 0.4 of the filament flowing directly down out the nozzle’s aperture can’t connect to an adjacent wall until AFTER it’s contacted the layer under it, and been piled up below (think blowing up a balloon). So if the overhang says there is nothing below to hook to, and it isn’t making contact with the adjacent inner wall, it just flows straight down into spaghettiland. Caveats and workaroudns aplenty, but thats the general theory
