Print speed problems with vase mode

I’ve been trying to print this lampshade, but im running into problems on the top part - im suspecting the toolhead is moving too fast causing it to leave air bubbles and holes in the top, it seems to line up pretty well with what it’s showing in the slicer. The wider part looks fine.
Is there any way to combat this, or is this shape just not great for printing in vase mode?
I’m using the A1 mini with the 0.8 nozzle and Bambulab translucent PETG

Check your fan speed, as cooling the PET-G too quickly will cause it to bubble, and create holes. For the default settings, the fan for fast layer times is too high. (At least in my experience)

In your filament → Cooling tab
You likely have “slow down printing for better layer cooling” checked.

You can try it unchecked, or a more generous min speed, which will force your extruder to keep going at nominal speed, but you may have different melty experience since, yknow, the part might not cool enough to stay solid.
