I just did my first print on the H2D where I forgot to remove the previous print from the print bed before printing a new one. Luckily there was no damage done. Since the H2D knows when you open the door, if you start a new print and the door hasn’t been opened since the last print, it could pop up a message with a picture of the build plate and ask you if you want to proceed with the print. Seems like it would be super simple to implement.

I honestly didn’t think about the door sensor, would take pretty much no extra processing power and shouldn’t have false positives (unless you came in from the top somehow? Idk if the top panel has sensors as well.) It could essentially set a flag at the same time it puts down the calibration lines and clear it as soon as the door opens, simple, easy, and effective. Great idea
I don’t think there’s a sensor for the top glass. If someone is digging their prints out from the top then they… I don’t know… that’s just seems a little wacky.
I was printing TPU 85A for the first time on it where you are suppose to take the top off and I discovered that it does have a sensor to detect when the top is off. It puts a little message up on the screen that says “The top cover is open.”
Still, I don’t think I’d ever remove a model through the top opening.
