Printer has died

My A1 has died mid print with a smell of burnt circuit’s. I have filled a support ticket out detailing all the details that were aske for. I had one response asking me to strip the 2 month old machine to look my self what has gone wrong. I am apprehensive doing this incase I void any warranty . My business is suffering because I am still waiting for a reply to my ticket after 4 days

Welcome to the forum!

It won’t void the warranty. Self repair is the norm in the 3D printing world. They’ll take the info they asked for, try to figure out what happened and send you the part that died.

Eventually… after lots of back and forth

Thank you for the reply guys. I still worry that Bambu will renege on issues when I am not a 3Dprinter electrician /manufacturer. I would have expected this from My Anet .I still say that the machine should be replaced or recalled. My car manufacturer does not tell me to fault find or repair it with parts they supply
Does Bambu even monitor these forums
When Bambu Labs give me in Writing that they will support me unreservedly in doing the work myself I may look at it.

This is more a user / community support forum. If there are any major issues, you can tag @SupportAssistant to chase up things up. Such as overly long delays and questions about support tickets

Your car manufacturer is not in the additive manufacture business though, and there is still some expectation of self repair and maintenance. Basically, if Bambu instruct you to pull it apart, and you follow their guidelines on how to do it, you should be covered since it was done at their instruction. I guess you could make a video recording while you stripping it down so there is no doubt/question as to what was done if there are any claims made/questions in the future, but I would hope it isn’t needed.

I’ve not had to use their warranty service yet, with my A1 at 1075 hours of print time, and P1S at probably around 25 hours, but given I have seen reports of them sending out replacement parts as needed, or even when not strictly needed, I don’t feel you’ll have any issues, but please let us know if you do!

The spares to repair it have been shipped as soon as they got the report ticket .
I suppose that it could happen with any type of electrical appliance.
Well done Bambu Support
