Hi All.
My newly purchased P1S appears to be losing power to the print head.
It printed the Beachy with no problems but every subsequent print has the same issue.
The power loss randomly occurs and has a duration of around 3 seconds.
The issue occurs regardless of where the part is being printed on the bed.
I suspect its a broken wire/loose plug on the machine end of the printer head cable.
I would appreciate any thoughts on fixing this, without voiding the warranty…
Have a look at P1 Series | Bambu Lab Wiki in general and Toolhead Board Replacement Guide - P1P/P1S | Bambu Lab Wiki in particular (eg. follow the instructions for replacing wires/cables without using new parts). I can’t see following those official guides would lead to voiding warranty - in fact Bambu wants us to do most warranty replacements unless we refuse.
Edit: Perhaps have a look at P1 sereis printer communication issue troubleshooting (I) AP-MC communication abnormality | Bambu Lab Wiki as well, checking the MC-AP cable.
Hi Mr Raz.
Thank you for your prompt and very helpful reply.
I have a ticket in with Support but they are MIA so far.
Do you feel this is something I can resolve under warranty or do I just buy the parts and get on with it?
Cheers
Phil
I would try following the guides for disassembly/reassembly without actually replacing anything. Some cable might be poorly seated.
Thanks for your reply. I’ve had a close look at the plugs and re-seated them to no avail.
Support has responded but seem to be stuck in a never ending circle of asking for info they already have, so I expect I’ll just buy the new parts. Cheers.
