Would the shown diagram be an issue when printing? Do I have to fill the gap under the slanted object?

Depends on the filament, speed and many other factors. Best, test it.

What is the angle?

45 degrees prints fine, then the smaller you get you start having printing imperfections to a point that only with supports

Test it by printing a reduced size version?

I have PETG and PLA.
