H2D printer has been working good for three moths. Suddely shuts down. After waiting half an hour it will turn on. When you try to print it shuts of again.
I reset the printer to default and tried to calibreate - it will start and the shuts off .
Printer is not working.
No struck filament.
The print nozzles left and right healts and cools properly.
Printer homes and moves well.
No problem with electricity or surge.
No problem with the extruder.
No problem with AMS 2 pro.
I think problem with Power supply. Awiting response from Bambu Support.
Will greately appreciate any expert input.
Bad power supply (overheating or thinks it’s overheating), or maybe something that’s partially shorted out in the printer that’s putting marginally too much load on the supply (causing it to overheat).
The supply heats up and shuts off, but will turn on again once things have cooled off enough.
You need a replacement power supply, which may or may not fix the problem, but is a necessary first step in finding out.
I would not keep retrying the machine. Even if it doesn’t shut down, depending on what’s wrong it could be a fire hazard to leave it running.
Thank you for your kind input. I am anxiously waiting for response from Technical Support. It has been few days. I did turn off the printer.
I think Bambu Support will respond soon.
My H2D is doing the same thing please do you have any information on this I put in a ticket 2 to 3 days wait time from Bambu
Trying to diagnose the problem - starting with how the problem started. If sudden shut down while printing the problem is the power supply. It may be as simple as the power input. Changing or relocating the power cable is worth the try. The other problem point seems to be pssible issue with the printer head. Shorted wire. looking for the behaviour of the printer. Possibly opening the back panel and systemically looking at the power supply and voltage.
The Tech support will anwer - usual reply time is about two day.
Run the experiment I suggested. It will provide additional information that will help with troubleshooting.
But the odds, IMO, are that this is a flakey power supply that will have to be replaced. It won’t be something a casual user can repair.
