Hi, I hope I can get some advice about an issue I cannot find on the forum yet. I bought a roll of Phantom Blue dual-colour silk filament from Bambu. I also ordered other Bambu silk and dual colours as I wanted to give the life sized Macaw design a go. I was using one of my H2S machines.
Plates have all been washed and calibrated a few times between printing.
Starting with the blue silk and phantom blue, the RFID read fine, and printing went well. Changed to candy red and gold silk for the next plate; no issues. When I changed back to the phantom blue the RFID no longer was reading in Bambu Studio. Blue and gold printed fine, but the phantom blue fed in but would not print (error tangled or buffer). I checked the tubes for broken filament and found no excessive length or bends. The spring was okay, not debris on the rollers. Also turned the machine on and off. Nothing helped. I put the phantom blue filament in another AMS slot, and the same thing happened.
Loading another Bambu silk in the same slots where the phantom blue would not read or print from, they printed fine with the RFID being read. I tried the Phantom Blue in both of my H2S printers and the two of my P2S printer AMS units and got exactly the same issue. RFID not reading or mapping and not printing; however, loading other Bambu silk filament reads and prints fine.
The filament was dried, and I used my re-spooler to make sure there was no entanglement issue. A number of measurements were taken of the filament, and the thickness was all within tolerance.
A roll of this filament is not cheap in Australia ($40) and I hope there is an issue I can fix before I go and order a new roll.
Thanks in advance for any help or thoughts with this.
