Printing guide for using PLA Basic and PETG HF for support

This article introduces how to configure the parameters when you use PLA Basic as the support for PETG HF or vice versa. Also, it provides preset files with all necessary parameters done for Bambu Studio.

PLA and PETG flaments don’t adhere very well with eachother, making them a good option to use for support interface.
Using this filament combination can help get better support interface results and make support removal easier.

It is important to remember that drying both filaments before printing will produce the best results

I’ll share a demonstration of the support removal. PLA interface layers with PETG part.

I’ll add something else to watch out for: the interface layer PLA colour for Bambu PETG HF matters!

One more - a no-AMS method with no cross-contamination issues (weak layer adhesion on layer after material change) that would work for many flat supported areas.

Reusable supports for fast printing.

If you don’t put the support piece in what happens? Do those bridges not work?

Then it looks like a bridged area. I’m going for easily washable and want toy trains to roll on the tracks nicely - i.e. a flat and somewhat-sealed surface.
