Hello.
My A1 blobbed up on me while printing. I forget what file I was printing. I was able to get it all cleaned out, but still had a bit of an issue getting the clasp to close over the hot end. I’ve had issue with my prints ever since. I’ve cleaned the bed plate with dish soap and water a few times. Not sure if it’s the belts or what.

I’d try replacing the nozzle if you have a spare to test. That big of a blob might have bent it.
Additionally, you may want to take this moment to check the screws on the black block of the heater. Remove the 3 holding the block on, gently fold down to see the rear (wires still attached), and tighten the 4 screws on the rear.

I have another nosel I could test. Kind of sucks, because I just bought that one. Is what it is. I will also check the screws as well.

Edit: I just switched out the nosel to the old one, ran a first layer test and it’s doing the same thing. That said, I’ve noticed that the nosel is printing too close to the bed, and is dragging, which is why it’s not printing correctly. Not sure how to fix this. Already done a calibration test prior to posting.
Found the problem. The blob got in behind and was pushing it out, causing the nosel to scrape the bed. Took it all apart, because I’m going to give it a good clean and see if I need to order anything else while I’m at it.

That was a mega blob! I had a very similar issue. Was there 4 wires in the heater block there? I was dismantling my blob and theres a black wire not attached to anything.
After mounting all that stuff do a full calibration of the machine.
Are you drying your filament? When someone has good prints then things start going bad and staying bad can point to too high of moisture content in your filament. That can encourage extruded filament curling and encasing extruders.
Yes. I have a filament dryer, and I keep the rolls in drying boxes with desiccant to absorb moisture.
