Hello, I want to print a model with a high resolution and a lot of detail (an anime figure). I would like to use a 0.2 mm nozzle and PVA as the support. I’m using PVA because it has a really, really large number of supports. I’ve now read that a 0.4 mm nozzle is recommended for PVA. Has anyone tried printing PVA with a 0.2 mm nozzle?
It’s not supported. Don’t do it. It’s highly likely to cause unexpected damage.
hmm ok
so i need to print the whole model with 0.4mm. when will bambu lab support different nozzle sizes?? ![]()
Supporting different nozzle size is a mathematically quite challenging problem, it’s doable, but requires lots of development work and I don’t expect it to be commercially available for customers any time soon
