Printing Quality Good only on Top 20% for a specific model

Hello,

I am fairly new to the game. I have printed a few things. All good except for these boxes I bought from https://www.alch.shop.
The first 80% of the print is rather rough, but it solves itself beyond that. I have tried with other gridfinity boxes at the same time they are printing fine. I cannot see in the model from ALCH what changes from 80% and beyond.

Can someone guide me where to check?

I guess you can’t share the file. In the slicer does it look fine?

I think that would get me into trouble. I have two print screens. For me it looks fine, but honestly have to clue what to look for. Any other information helpful?

I’m having a similar issue on a gridfinity box though mine was a free model, and the ugly parts are not as well defined where they start and stop like yours, but similar in that parts are fine and others are not for some odd reason.

To me it looks like it is a cooling issue. I have found that prints on the right side of the plate (away from the aux fan) are not as refined.

The other line looks to line up with the top of the other print, so I bet if you did a “print by object” that upper line would disappear. So I think that can also be addressed by controlling the outer wall speed to be consistent.

These are only assumptions based on my own experience not knowing any other variables provided.

In the model on the right it appears that all printing and filament parameters have not been adjusted. If I may ask, are you using a 3mf file or an stl file? If you are using a 3mf file, you should review the designer settings and set the parameters according to your printer. Are the two models printed together on the platen or separately?
