I have been slicing several models recently and after the latest update to bambu studio I have noticed it is trying to put support material on top of the models even when painting to block them no idea what setting(s) could be causing this but it is immensely frustrating.
Do you mean that BS is putting support after the last layer of the model parts? Is there something above it that requires support? And just in case - ‘on build plate only’ is activated in in the support-tab?
Otherwise, may you can save the file as 3mf-project?
Yea, all those white dots are the support interface material and selecting “only on build plate” makes no difference. There is nothing on top of the model that needs support, they are literally on top of what should be the final layer. Some are even on the outside walls of the model.
here is the .3mf for this project.
All the white dots on top are not filament they are seams.
The purge tower not going that high would be a clue.
Sweet baby jesus you are right. I was pulling my hair out trying to sort this problem. It threw me off because they were showing as the same color as the support filament.
