Printing Text with Two Nozzles on X2D

Hi, all.
I don’t own an X2D yet, but I’d like to know if the following print is possible using Bambu LAB’s X2D:Print letters on the body using two colors of filament.

  • Set the two nozzles to 0.4mm and 0.2mm diameter.

  • Print the body using ABS-GF with a 0.4mm diameter nozzle, and print letters using ABS with a 0.2mm diameter nozzle.

The reason for printing letters with a 0.2mm diameter nozzle is that it allows for finer detail.

Hello Eiichiro,

No, unfortunately it is currently not possible to mix nozzle sizes in one print, on any BL printer. We all hope we will eventually get this feature, but as of right now there is no slicer software which supports this.

Cheers,
-Max

I’m interested to know as well, as that is one of my plans of things I may want print. However I went through the ordering process last night and read somewhere it said the nozzles must be the same size. It might have said that when I was ordering the extra nozzles (I forget). As such I ordered 2 .2mm so I have them.

Anyway looking forward to somebody with more knowledge than me to answer. LOL

There we go, Max beat me to it.

Hello Max,

Oh, really!
I also hope that nozzles of different diameters can be used.

It would broaden the range of expression.
