Printing the first layer

Hello! I’m having a printing issue. Photo shows a print with the same PETG plastic, after a factory reset and with all calibrations. Flow dynamics: automatic, k=0.026, k=0.055. I dried the plastic for about 6 hours. I thoroughly cleaned the plate with cleaning solution. I’m printing with the main nozzle. What’s causing the print quality?

get another roll from bambulabs and test again, you cant base your diagnostics on only 1 roll.

Try manual bed trim, then full calibration again. Use another spool of filament, PLA on example. Regarding cleaning solutions, for me simpliest methods is giving me best results with first layer - liquid soap and a good scrub with kitchen brush. Looking at picture, it’s almost purley bed calibration issue or plate not perfectly cleaned in problematic spots.

Changing the plastic and cleaning the plate didn’t help. Apparently, the table or plate is crooked. I don’t understand why calibrating the table doesn’t help.

Did you do a manual bed leveling? It’s worth a try.

Thanks for the tip. I adjusted three screws as instructed, calibrated the bed, printed, and the result was better (photo). I decided to try again, turned on automatic alignment before printing, and the print turned out just like before. Maybe the issue is with maintaining the bed height?

Yes, this can be the issue. To be honest, it’s hard to print first layer without any errors, one after the other. I’ve had mixed successes with this on all my Bambu printers. If there’s no visible warping on edges, it shoudn’t affect the outcome.

looks like a pattern, most likely your bed, check to see if the screws are evenly tightened on the 3 screw rods.

The screws are tight. They’re actually difficult to turn. It takes a lot of force, not like the video shows.

Try to drop the flow rate to 0,94-0,95. It helps in my case.

Tried again.

  1. Reset to factory settings.

  2. Adjusted the three screws manually, as per the instructions.

  3. Washed the plate.

  4. Used a different brand of plastic, dried for 12+ hours.

  5. Performed automatic calibration.

  6. The result remained unchanged (photo).

  7. Flow rate: 0.95

That isn’t something that should happen. May I suggest removing the screws, checking for any little bits of metal that might have made their way into the bearings, causing them to seize up slightly. Make sure the screw rods are lubricated as well. Sometimes factories either forget or just mis something like that. It sounds an awful lot like something is seizing, forcing the motor to work harder and in turn go off calibration slightly.

I know u tighten all the screws, but just make sure that they all feel even,

I adjusted three manual calibration screws, and the result is on the left (excellent). I saved the settings. Then I printed and enabled automatic table alignment, and the result is on the right. Apparently, the problem is in the firmware.

How will this help if the settings are reset after automatic table calibration? Each time, the upper left corner is overprinted.

The nozzle height setting is not reset with table calibration. The calibration of the table reveals deviations in the plane of the table, and the height of the nozzle affects the quality of the first layer, if the nozzle is out, then an effect like yours may be observed. I did a manual calibration and immediately printed a square of excellent quality. Then I did an automatic calibration and returned to the original version. The photo with two squares is above.
