Prints leaning to the left / X-axis issues?

Dear Bambu Lab Community,

I just got started with my A1 combo. Unfortuntately, my prints are leaning to the left side → the angle between XY-level and ZY-level is larger than 90 degrees.
The other angles look fine; also all levels seem to be parallel. The print quality / surfaces also seem to be fine. Nevertheless the discrepancy is a serious issue for technical components (1mm delta on 40mm height).

The X-axis seems to cause the problem and there seems to be a small delta of the Z-psoition of the X-axis which is obviously corrected during calibration (levels are parallel)

I have already done the following troubleshooting activities, but no improvement of the final print happened; the results are exactly the same:

  • various new calibrations
  • tried another nozzle
  • re-adjusted the belt for the Z-axis (to balance Z-position; in highes Z-position this seems to be aligned now)
  • tensioning of the X-axis belt
  • checking the extruder gear; nothing was stuck
  • applied grease on Z-axis
  • applied oil on Y-axis
  • trying different PLA’s (dried and out of box) from different slots of the AMS

Any ideas what can be done to fix this? Are my descriptions precise enough?

Have you tried bed tramming?

Bambu printers come with their factory settings which usually are perfect, but sometimes, because of transport or some other factors, those settings can be altered. One of the most common issue is that the bed is not aligned.

Quick search on google will give you the result
“A1 bed tramming”

Usually it solves all my issues with prints. Print knockdowns, bed adhesion, bad quality prints etc

I tried the manual tramming, but no improvement visible; prints leaning still to the left.

Meanwhile I had 2x contact with the Bambu Lab Support (not that bad, quick responses!). They asked me to print a test cube and document this. Their suggestion was to enable elephant foot compensation, but the results do also not change.

Any further ideas? Especially larger (roatation) parts cause issues due to the incorrect angle :frowning:

Bambu Lab support replied and assumes that the issue is related to shrinking and material. I don’t think that this is correct as the result of the print is a nearly perfect parallelogram. They told they are further investigating.

Short update: I did some tests and had some constructive discussions with the bambu support. They always replied within one day. We agreed that it makes sense to send a new frame; this is already in transit.

So far pretty good experience with the support and the reaction time!

Keep you posted if the problem wil lbe solved now.

Final Update: The new frame has arrived. after installing the new frame the prints are perfectly fine and all angles are in line with the expectation.

The root cause seems to be the shifted frame. The printer compensated almost 100% (height was perfectly fine and also The YZ angle was ok; only the XY angle was nok.
