Now I need help.
Trying to add text to the lid of an existing object.
Converting a .png to svg, and importing it into BS.
Following this guide but when I slice and check it prints the layers without text, the text is visible but does not get any “own” moment when I check the lower slider how the printer will run the layers.
Got it working once, but the next time, nothing.

I’m trying to find a way to enable crosshairs in bambu studio so I can align my text in the center of an object, Does anyone know if this option is available and how I activate it so I can use it. Thanks
I have found flush text to be much easier when changing the object type to “Modifier” (right click the object in the object tree → change type).
Then, tailor this objects size and location, consider enabling the “arachne” wall generator for one or both objects, then slice.

Yes! It worked! Thank you!
One thing that really confused me at first when adding text or modifying a model by adding an image as a part on top of a model was getting the height position right.
I was aiming for the “image” to be raised above the surface, rather than flush.
I expected that the Z number in the move box would be the bottom surface of the part I was adding and adjusting but it turned out it’s not, it’s the centre of the added part so when I was aiming for two 0.2 layers, and setting the Y position to the height of the surface above the build plate, my 0.4 high addition was 0.2 submerged and only 0.2 above.
It seems really counterintuitive, and I wonder if there’s a way to get a more sensible coordinate system.
It also seems that I then needed to lower the part Z position fractionally, maybe 0.01mm to get it to mesh boolean, to sort of “push it” into the surface very slightly.
I also had the same problem trying to stack print Multiboard tiles by calculating the height of the next one on the stack as it kept being only half above the top of the one below. Since I was intentionally positioning it a small gap above the surface below it just seemed like my arithmetic was broken ![]()
Yes, I have struggled with text positioning a lot as well. I have not yet found an easy work around to date though. I am still reliant on that Mark I eyeball…
