I have successfully printed overture TPU on my A1Mini for some time. But all of a sudden I am getting this error message, right after a successful first layer. I have searched the error codes but only for P1, nothing on A1 or A1 Mini.
The AMS assist motor is overloaded. This could be due to entangled filament or a stuck spool.

Anyone have a clue as to what’s happening?

Which TPU exactly? There are some that are suitable for AMS and some that are not.
I couldn’t find exact your error code in the list - presumably that’s what it’s about:
I am with @RetroSharky only one TPU is certified for use on the AMS/AMS Lite.
TPU for AMS (a great material)
While others have posted haves, the clue is that phrase, they are hacks, not certified, warranted or recommended other than by the one suggesting it.
Hopefully, you will confirm it is TPU for AMS and we can work to assist you solving it.
I am not using AMS but the external, and using Overture TPU. It has worked before and then all of a sudden won’t print with the error meesage after first layer.
I need to ask again, I don’t quite understand the whole picture yet:
…and the error always occurs after the first layer? I think we need a little more information; it’s not yet possible to see the whole picture. If you have an AMS, what happens when you unplug it and then print? Does it still produces the error?
To me, it seems like you might not have told the printer that you don’t have/use AMS - whatever - and are using an external spool? Is that possible?
I would not recommend putting TPU thru PTFE tubes, unless it is very very stiff like the TPUForAMS, 64D-or-more, etc. You dont mention if your setup uses ptfe or not, but I would recommend not.
I did not know that was an AMS error, and no I do not have an AMS connected to my A! mini
Yes I do, and as I mentioned, it worked perfectly until this last attempt, that is what is confusing me.
