I bought (Starry Surface Plate) and from the very beginning I had a problem with printing (as can be seen in the attached photos). I did all the advice from other topics (washing, cleaning, delivering the hotend, etc.) There is still a problem with printing on these plates.
If anyone knows the subject, please advise, best regards
I have found printing on the 3D Effect Sheets both frustrating (at first) and very rewarding (in the end).
Things to be aware of:
- The stickers applied to the steel sheet appear to benefit from some heat soaking. The second time I applied them, I did a heat soak on the print bed at 65°C but can not quite remember for how long. Certainly several hours, half per side to ensure good adhesive settling for both stickers.
- The key instructions are on the shop page rather than the wiki:
- Use the Smooth PEI Plate in the slicer settings (otherwise the z-distance will be incorrect)
- Increase the Bed temp to 60-65°C
If you are still running into issues then, you can also increase the 1st layer nozzle temp by 5-10°C.
Hope this helps,
