Problems with printing

Greetings Gentle folk of the forum
I seem to be having some problems printing on my P1S.
When I get to the screen where you select the Filament, I get the PLA box outlined in red with a red circle and an exclaimation mark! (very dramatic).
What do you think is causing this problem?
I took a picture of the error message but the forum doesnt seem to allow pics

Cheers

Johnno

i think its because what ur printer thinks the printer has in the filament slot isnt the same as the profile requres

As @RockerRavn has said, this is a conflict between what you told it you need and what you told it you have.

Example 1:

  • The Printer has PETG set for the external spool, or the AMS has all four spools assigned to PETG
  • Your model has PLA selected as a filament.

When you ask to print, the software looks to find a match between what you asked for (in the Prepare Tab) and what you told the printer you have in one or more slots. No match was found; you get the error.

Example 2:

  • No slot in the AMS has PLA set as the filament type.
  • Your model has PLA selected as a filament.

When you ask to print, the software looks to find a match between what you asked for (in the Prepare Tab) and what you told the printer you have in one or more slots. No match was found, you get the error.

Example 3: (Success)

  • At least one slot in the AMS or the external spool has PLA set as the filament type
  • Your model has PLA selected as a filament.

When you ask to print, the software looks for a match between what you requested (in the Prepare Tab) and what you have in one or more slots, as indicated to the printer. It finds the matching filament, and you can start printing.

If you are using Bambu Lab filament and the AMS, make sure you have placed PLA in the AMS.

If you are not using Bambu Lab filament or you are using the external spool, add PLA filament and tell the printer it is PLA. As you are using a P series, you need to do this on a computer using Bambu Studio or on a mobile device using Bambu Handy. For all other printers (to assist anyone else), you can also do this on the screen; P-series printers cannot.
