Problems with Text Printing with Breaks

I am having a problem printing text that I have already spent way too many hours on without any results, so I figured someone in the community problem knows the answer.

I am printing the face plate for a diagnostics card my little company produces. The first photograph shows the face plate printed, the second photo shows close-up of the text line with the problems. As you can see, the text has many breaks in many of the characters. I originally thought it was due to having Seam Position set to aligned, but changing it to Random has had no effect whatsoever. There is something set in Bambu Studio since when I load the model into Bambu Studio it shows perfect (third photo), but after it is sliced, the breaks appear.

Yup. The slicer is doing exactly what it is designed to do. When the file is sliced, if the thickness of the wall falls below the thickness of the nozzle tip. The printer firmware will ignore that part of the print even though the slicer displayed it. It’s just one of those oddities in 3D printing that never got enough attention to fix, you just have to know about that pitfall.

You’re using a Serif font which are distinct for having that elegant stroke which often translates to thin walls at the edge of the stroke. Although you could try Arachne as @PrinterMcgee has suggested, there are two more sure-footed choices, either increase the size of the font thus making the thin parts thicker, it may be as little as 0.1mm to make a difference, or you can switch fonts that are less susceptible to this. Sans Serif fonts are good candidates. Here are examples.

I had the same issue but I solved it reducing the layer widths. 0.3 was good and gave me back all the missing lines.

The top row of numbers is in the same font as the bottom row of text. The difference is that the bottom row of text is in Italics whereas the top row of numbers is not. The number 2 appears on both lines, but was only missing parts on the italics bottom row. And the bottom row of text is larger than the top row, so making the text larger in and of itself didn’t make a difference. I believe it is the italics that messed with the lower line.
