I noticed that if I upload a profile for A1 mini and check ALL the compatibility boxes, once it is posted it will only be shown as compatible with A1 Mini and A1, but none of the other printers.
For example the ‘4 colored game pieces’ profile here:

disappears if I select anything other than A1 or A1 Mini.

I found the behavior is consistent in all models I uploaded recently, and it’s different from the old behavior, where A1 mini compatibility is carried over to all other printers automatically.
Another example here, where I had to explicitly create a profile for the other printers, otherwise no profile was shown for anything other than A1 series.

I assume print by object. That kills compatibility unfortunately😔 it is a bug imho and need to be marked as such.

I noticed something similar too - One of my recently uploaded models only shows compatibility with A1 and H2D of all things?! I can’t figure out why it’s not compatible with the other printers. I checked print by object and it’s not that.

Oh interesting. That could very well be it.
I’m using print by object in both. It was not the case before though. @Tanklet do you know if this is intentional? Is it this a way to circumvent past ‘print-by-object’ issues when auto-converting between bed sizes?

That’s even more odd hehe
Does your model go into the exclusion zones for the P and X model printers?
I’m not sure how I would determine this, but it should never be the case for anything laid out for the A1 mini since the plate is so much smaller.
If I switch the printer type to the P1 in BambuStudio it’s converted to this (which is what I would expect) and it’s not anywhere near the exclusion zone.

Actually, I was replying to @kertgartner on her issue as It looks like that may be her problem. Sorry about the confusion.
Ah my mistake, sorry. I missed the reply arrow.
I have to remember: first sleep, THEN do forumy stuff.
Well, that’s interesting! I didn’t think about that - I had no idea that there was a zone on the P/X series that you couldn’t print in. I moved things around on the plate and re-uploaded the profile, and that fixed it! Thank you!

Unfortunately that is not the issue I ran into. I guess having to create multiple profiles when using print by object would not be terrible… As long as I remember!
Yes. For print-by-object sequence, we added checks for extruder clearance to avoid potential conflict between extruder and the printed model.
For existing print profiles, we are refreshing the compatibility to avoid potential slicing error when printing from Bambu Handy.

Good to know. Thank you!
I updated the post’s title (for clarity’s sake) and removed the ‘bug’ tag.

@Tanklet So what’s the best way to use Print By Object that’s compatible across all printers?
Currently, individual print profiles need to be uploaded for different printers.
