First post, after searching and reading 
I’m printing an item out of TPU and using PLA for support interface.
The printer is a H2d with the TPU in an AMS 2Pro on the right nozzle and the PLA on an external reel on the left nozzle.
My question is this, should the numbering of the filaments in the “Project Filaments” tab influence what the object is printed out of? At the moment I have TPU for AMS as number one, PLA Basic as two. The object is printed out of TPU with interfaces of PLA.
If I change filament one to PLA and two to TPU the object is printed out of PLA and the interface is TPU.
Surely the order in Project Filaments shouldn’t matter?

Hi Mike,
In the slicer’s objects list, the filaments are assigned by number. That’s why the filament selectors are also numbered. So yes, if you change eg. filament 1 to a different type, then any object marked to use 1 will change to use the newly selected filament type.
I’m not sure why you think the it shouldn’t matter, so maybe I misunderstand the question entirely… sorry!

I was thinking the numbering was linked to the nozzles position, i.e. left was 1 and right was 2 but your answer makes perfect sense.
I’m learning as part of my work so jumping into 3D printing rather than learning from scratch at my own pace.
