So, I have a few TPU85A prints lately that went not really well because of my janky setup
This setup works just fine for TPU95A, but fails miserably for TPU85A. What I did was just undo the PTFE tube and pull out a considerable amount of filament and let it hang freely in the air.
And it actually worked. Fortunately, my print was just a small o-ring seal, so this was fine.
But that got me thinking: what about bigger print, I can’t come back to the printer every 15 minutes to pull out a meter long like this.
Then, I had a light bulb moment in my head
This will make sure nothing pull filament back and have consistency extrusion. It would work for softer TPU as well.
For now, all I have is that sketch drew in mspaint, but I will make this open source project and welcome you guys to join. If I do it alone, I would choose whatever random part I already have and that would make it hard to replicate for you.
So, that’s that.
