I want to upload a project from Bambu Studio to MakerWorld. It consists of three plates. Each plate will have its own layer height setting and filament color. Why do I want to colorize the plates? Those who choose to print my model will see the colors I recommend. I do not have AMS. Is this possible?
Plates donât have those settings⌠plates have settings like âprint by layerâ vs âprint by objectâ. So to achieve what youâre asking for, youâll need to click on the individual objects that are on the plate. If you only have one per plate the above may sound like semantics, but either way, youâll have to click on the object and not the plate.
For this you need to switch from âGlobalâ to âObjectâ on the left and set the layer height on a per object basis.
If you only have one color at the moment, then just click the + button and add filament. You can then choose to color your objects by clicking on the appropriate number.
You can also add those filaments to the BOM when you upload your model.
Yes, you can do all that without an AMS, just keep in mind that you have to upload a picture of the actual print together with the model. I assume you just put the filament color you need on the external spool holder and print the model and Bambu Studio never picked up any color for you automatically, so yeah⌠thatâs just the add button, no AMS required.

Oh, one other question: Now that I have my project showing the different colors, How can I change out the MakerWorld 3mf for my updated one? I click on edit, but it never actually says âreplace your fileâ.
Thanks! I was almost there before reaching out. There were two boxes in the edit area to click on. The first one didnât give me the âreplace fileâ option, so I left without checking the second one which does give that option. Live and learn.
