This is a Washington State bill that’s underway (with NY next) to force control over the use of 3D printers and CNC machines. I would encourage our users in Washington State and any influential friends (e.g. prominent people in the Maker and education communities) you may have to start contacting your politicos to discourage this. It’ll be ineffective against its ostensible purpose and extremely disruptive for every other purpose. We thought sending everything through Bambu was bad, this’ll be much worse. This is not a party issue, I would encourage you to oppose it regardless of which side of the fence you stand on. It’ll affect Bambu users first since they already have the infrastructure in place.
Once any state has this in place it’ll happen everywhere.
