Prusament PETG VS Bambu PETG

I saved up enough points on printables to get a roll of prusament PETG, and i was curious about the price of their petg without the “gift card”, and then i went to bambu’s website to see how much their PETG costs, i saw that it costs around 9~ more dollars USD than bambu PETG (HF)

Why is this? Is Prusament PETG higher quality than bambu PETG? Is the filament (prusament) more reliable?

What is your experience with prusament PETG / bambu PETG

Bambu PETG > Prusament PETG. Elegoo is better than both.

Prusament is only more expensive because you are paying the Prusa Tax. I don’t mind paying a little extra for their machines, but their filament and accessories are way overpriced *especially when you consider the outrageous shipping.

Prusament does not print as well or as fast. It is a little stronger though. It is closer to a PETG basic, it doesnt have the modifiers to allow it to flow faster.

Big thing for me is how ridiculously shiny it is.

Price of 2 Kg of PETG with cheapest shipping

Double the price. That is a no go for me. Prusa on top, Bambu below.

Side note: Prusament spools do not fit on the AMS lite.

Wait until you get to shipping…

I agree with you guys that it’s too expensive, and I’d just go with Bambu too… but if you’re ever in a life and death situation and Prusa PETG is the only way out you can get it way cheaper from their distributer in America (PrintedSolid). These are 2K spools with free shipping over $50.

Two 1KG refills..

They’re very limited on colors with the 2KG and the refill spools though. The normal spools are $35.99.
