I am a newbie and desperately need help! I have a PS1 with AMS and only 226 hours of print time.
I am consistently getting the error “unable to feed filament into extruder. This could be due to entangled filament or a stuck spool. If not, please check if the AMS PTFE tube is connected [0700-8006-191601]”

Everything was working fine, but now I get this error at varying stages on every print. Can someone please provide a way to resolve this error during a print? Currently, I am just starting the print over which wastes a LOT of filament, but I am stuck and don’t know what else to do.
Here’s what I have tried on various occasions trying to continue my print:
- Remove hotend and remove any filament inside and resume printing. Does not work and I still get the error.
- Disconnected PTFE tube at the top of the extruder, and manually fed 4cm filament through. Restart the print, but the error still occurs.
- Taken apart the AMS looking for any broken filaments but didn’t find any.
- Cut any filament that has been in the PTFE tube thinking it may have been ‘damaged’ and tried resuming the print. Still didn’t work.
I am using Bambu PLA Glow and PLA Matte filaments. Please help because this has become so frustrating.
I have seen with my P1S a recurring issue with the filament not going through the sensor blob on the back of the printer cleanly. I would call it the AMS hub, but I only have the single version on my printer. It appears that the filament feed through the PTFE and gets blocked at the first connector there. This causes the failure you’re seeing. I would check the PTFE tube there and make sure that it is smooth and fully inserted into the printer.
GITD filament is much rougher and abrasive. Thus I believe that it is not recommended for use in the AMS. I use matte quite a bit and up until this problem started, had no issues it with.

Thanks for the tips especially about GITD filament. Now that I think about it the print that I was working on had 3 different GITD filament colors. I am going to try and play around and swap some of the filament for matte to see if that helps.
Make sure that with the GITD stuff you are using a hardened nozzle. I know the stainless steel is harder than brass but I had a brass one on a different printer open up from 0.40mm to about 2mm on a single print job.
This helped me with a new printer.
The PTFE tube wasn’t fully seated in the toolhead.
I had it that over the time the PTFE tube was not correctly fitted anymore. Because of that he couldnt push it into the Extruder.
I had a similar problem; in the end I cut the filament once more ina very clean way, and the printer accepted it without further trouble.
