PSA: Opening Bambu Studio V2 *.3MF files in V1.x breaks file

Hey there, just wanted to point out what some will know to be obvious but I didn’t. I switched back to V1.X after several issues with support types being wrong in 3MF files when opened in V2. Well I hadn’t realized that I actually saved several files from V2 while working on them, and then later opened them in V1.x and all settings and build plates would be missing, just the generic presets and one build plate and the geometry floating off the plate - opening these files in V2 again solves it, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to downsave back to V1.X once you save in V2.

Just FYI, would be sweet to be able to downsave but I doubt it’d happen

Updating my original post: I’ve also noticed as people upload V2 models to MakerWorld, the same problems occur for everyone who wants or needs to use V1.x and unless the model has more than one build plate, it won’t be obvious that settings are lost. This is the kind of fragmentation that I hoped Bambu Lab might mitigate with a notice or something other than the user just having a bad experience. We’re going to start to see bad ratings on print profiles because users blame a designer for missing build plates.
