PTFE tube,2.5/4 mm - what type is best to get for replacement - bambu specifically, or any specific amazon or other brand to use? amazon has several different ones available; i saw the sovol, seems to have good reviews, but i don’t want to put junk in the machine. any feedback appreciated, thanks
As long as it has the same OD and ID I would say its good to go.
Be careful with the tubes. Ive had bad quality tubes from a number of sources, including suppliers that sold me good tubes before. Both clear and black color, the material was wrong and the friction was much higher than OEM. TPU would not go in further than 10cm before coming to a stop. The bad tubes had something in common they were crystal clear, they did not have that milky tone color. The bad black tubes were more black clear as well, not the greyish milky tone.
thanks for replies, they are helpful. bambu price is not bad, but shipping adds cost, especially if i don’t need anything else…
thanks
Shipping is free over a certain amount. I always add filament or something else I need to make it free.
You can buy from amazon and return if they are bad, test it with TPU.
Brand? BAMBU it’s too cheap to order amazon ■■■■ that isn’t round, too thin and just garbage. Yep, I’ve got some of that…
I’m thinking now that those clear PTFE tubes aren’t actually PTFE.
I do maintenance at double rate and I already changed some tubes, after some kilos of cf filament.
Just get the correct diameter ones. I bought those from AliExpress, no issues since the diameter is right.
I can’t use the others I have bought to rebuild the kobra2 hotend. I tried but they are too much thin and friction occurs.
