Obviously it’s speculation but I don’t see how this situation can continue for long. The US buys too much stuff from China to just quit cold turkey.
Xi appears to be in a better position than the other guy so it will have to get painful here before he gives in and admits defeat, but it feels like this can’t go longer than a week or maybe two at the outside as shelves empty and the public gets upset.
I’d just wait a week or two. It’s a situation that really isn’t sustainable. One side seems to understand that. The other, not so much.
Edit/added - He folded on parts of the tariffs but after getting made fun of he put them back. Who knows how long it will go? It’s gone longer than I thought.
