Purge chute problem = speed of purge!

So.. Purge chute fail. Ah yes another one!

I’m new with printing, only 5 weeks in. But when i have a problem i simply can not let it go. Ordered a new super Nozzle (High Flow ObXidian) for my super high speed PETG filament from SUNLU and life was great! Printed 1.5 plates. BOOM bent the brand new Nozzle that was worth a bag of kidneys and a 6h cleaning sunday…

Well, I have been searching, googling, youtubing and in here. No one ever mentioned why sudden everyone is getting spaghetti turds?

So when i was watching this youtuber “leckiestein” and for the first time ever looked in my printer settings. I saw that purging speed is set on “maximum volumetric speed”.

First weeks with my printer i took it slow, 6-10 Volumemetric, but when the honeymoon was over it was time to crank it up. And the born of spaghetti turd emerged and the clogs in the chute was given.

So was it because i floored the volumetric? Or was it the nozzle made of unicorn hair? (this nozzle is fantastic btw and will never go back to original) Nah after some testing with settings i saw on forums and youtube, i found out that if i set it under 10 volumetric speed in the filament settings i get nice tight cone shaped turds again that flies out the chute and no build-up in the chute. Also tried this with my PLA different brands same results, it is simply to high speed on the flushing.

Sadly i only have one printer, wifey went ballistic when the carrier knocked on the door “delivery of one big box of fun for your husband and kids”. But who knows, she might leave the house to long again and a new box of fun knocks on our door :innocent:

So how do i permanent change the code in printer setting from this, to static flush 5 volumetric speed? This comes up more than once in this window so i’m guessing it need to rewrite it totally?

Well, is it only MY P1s printer it works on or can people in here try it out?

Edit; Ye, i want to print in my 35-40 volumetric speed if my filament and nozzle can handle it. But i dont want to watch it poop… So for me its strange if i cant seperate those 2 settings?! High printing speed and normal flushing!
