Hello everyone.
As you can see from my photos, I enjoy printing figures in various sizes. My problem, however, is that I always end up with large gaps in my prints, small areas with too much filament, or parts underneath the figures that are printed very poorly.
For all my prints, I use the PLA Standard profile, have ironing enabled, and have already significantly reduced the speed. I use the organic tree supports. Unfortunately, none of that has helped. I’ve also already calibrated the filament in BambooStudio and adjusted the flow accordingly.
Do you have any other ideas about what I can adjust or change? The only other thing I can think of is that my filament is relatively old. But then I’d expect calibration issues as well. And here, everything looks clean and solid.
Where the support meet with the rest of the print, that is called the “interface layer”. If you have an AMS you can use PETG as an interface material and set it up in BambuStudio as a the Support raft/interface filament. Then set the top Z distance to 0mm. PLA won’t stick to PETG so you don’t need a separation distance set.
Is this your model, did you create it. ? Or is it something you downloaded for makerworld? If it is down loaded from makerworld did you use the print profile supplied by the creator?
Yes it is an original file from makers world. I did not use the printing profile from it. I used the print profile provided by Bambu Studio because it was the wrong printer and the wrong layer hight in this profile.
Do you think I should use it and no changing at all ? Don’t think that could be the solution for it
It is where I would start, above the print profile on the down load page it lists the printers the profile should work with, all you need to do is change to your printer and slice and print. then if you have problems start adjusting. That does not mean it will fix your problem, but the creator was supposed to supply a good profile.
OK thank you for your feedback. Will give it a try
Have you calibrated your filament, or are you using someone else’s preset? What is the line width in the model, is it constant across the entire height? Do you use interfaces in supports?
Yes I calibrated the Filament in Bambu Studio with both calibration steps and the results were perfect.
I usually print with 0.16 optimal Quality profile and no variable layer hight.
What do you mean with interfaces in supports?
